Maintenance & Thermostats · North Georgia

Catch the small thing before it becomes the call.

Annual maintenance plans for residential systems and smart thermostat installs for Nest, Ecobee, and Honeywell. The cheapest way to avoid a midnight no-cool call is a scheduled tune-up in May.

Smart thermostats, done right

The thermostat is the part most installers rush.

A smart thermostat is only as good as its wiring. We pull the right low-voltage runs, add the C-wire where it's missing, and configure the equipment-side wiring so heat-pump aux logic, multi-stage cooling, and fan signals all behave the way the manufacturer expects.

We install Nest, Ecobee, and Honeywell — the three platforms with the longest support runway and the most honest setpoint logic.

Preventative plans

The cheapest service call is the one we prevent.

Annual tune-ups catch most failures before they become outages. We're refining the exact tiered structure — for now, the visit shape and what's covered is firm; ask us about pricing for your equipment when you call.

What every maintenance visit covers

  • Full system inspection — cooling, heating, and air handling
  • Coil and condenser cleaning where accessible
  • Refrigerant pressure check and electrical-component test
  • Combustion and gas-valve verification on heat side
  • Static-pressure read and filter pressure-drop measurement
  • Written commissioning report and next-visit calendar
Thermostat installs

Three platforms we know cold.

We install other thermostats too — these are the three we recommend and stand behind by default.

Nest (Google)

Best learning algorithm and clean home-screen UX. We handle the C-wire, base-plate wiring, and equipment-side configuration including heat-pump aux logic.

Ecobee

Best remote-sensor setup for multi-zone homes. Smart-Away and follow-me logic, plus a strong open API for HomeKit / Alexa integration.

Honeywell Home

Best reliability and broadest equipment compatibility. Our recommendation for older systems where the schedule matters more than the smart features.

Multi-zone & zoning

Multi-zone homes need real zoning, not just a smart thermostat. We add zone boards, dampers, and remote sensors when the setup calls for it.

C-wire & new low-voltage runs

Older homes often lack the C-wire smart thermostats need. We add it cleanly — through the air handler, no fish-tape damage to the drywall.

Sensor placement & schedules

Smart thermostats are only as accurate as where the sensor is. We help place remote sensors and tune the schedule so the house feels right, not just the hallway.

The 24/7 promise

Plans get you priority. Everyone gets honest dispatch.

Maintenance plans add priority in the rotation during the busy weeks. They don't change the core deal: same number, no after-hour markup, written quotes before any work.

We confirm the systems on site and what's already wired.

2

Plan or quote

Maintenance plan tier or thermostat scope — written, flat-rate.

3

Install / first visit

Clean install for thermostats. Full inspection for first plan visit.

Maintenance & thermostat questions

Before you call.

Is a maintenance plan worth it?

For most homes, yes — a single avoided emergency repair more than covers the plan. The bigger payoff is the equipment-life extension and the early-warning catches.

Can I install a Nest or Ecobee myself?

Often, yes — if your system is straightforward and the C-wire is already there. Where DIY installs go sideways: missing C-wire on older systems, heat pump aux configuration, and zoning boards. Worth a call before you start.

What's a C-wire and why does it matter?

The C-wire is a constant 24V common that powers a smart thermostat without stealing power from heating/cooling calls. Without it, smart thermostats short-cycle the system. Adding one cleanly is a small job — most calls are an hour.

Do you do zoning?

Yes — zone boards, dampers, and remote-sensor setups. We diagnose whether the issue is really a zoning problem or a duct-balancing problem first; sometimes the cheaper fix is the right one.

Are plan prices finalized?

The visit scope and what's included is firm. Plan tiers and exact pricing for single-system, multi-system, and light-commercial setups are being finalized — we'll quote your equipment when you call.
